Recently my mom and I went to a farmers market and bought five mums. To make a photo containing shadows, I lined up the five mums on the ground on a sunny day. The mums blocked the sunlight from hitting the ground and created the shadows. I thought that this photo turned out well because I was able to show how multiple objects created shadows. Even though each object was a mum, they all made their own different shadows. This just proves to show that shadows are everywhere and that they can be made by anything.
Over the past weekend, it was a humid and raining two days. After a short break from the storm I was able to get outside and take some photographs of the aftermath. During my walk, I came across a leaf over a puddle of water. After some propping and rearranging of this leaf I was able to cast a reflection from the water. When taking a photograph of this leaf I had some difficulties balancing it on its side. The leaf wanted to lay flat on the water and it would become wet! By laying flat on the puddle it would not produce a reflection. So I had to do a couple of trails and retakes to finally get the perfect shot.
