When taking the photos of the U of M Stadium, my family and I were going to the football game that was last Saturday. When taking the photos, there are a lot of traffic so I was able to get some pictures from rolling the car window down. I also was able to walk around the stadium, so I was able to get some photographs. When taking these photos, I had a hard time trying not to include any people or sidewalks. The idea when taking these photos was to convey and show the impressive arches of the stadium. Thankfully I was able to do that and show multiple arches and how they were all organized.
These photos are from the St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. When taking the photos of the hospital, I was trying to convey the massiveness of the hospital. I was really glad that I was able to take a photo of the entrance and convey the many windows that the hospital has. When taking these photos, I struggled with not including any cars or people because the hospital is always busy. I chose to take pictures of the hospital because it a major building and has been lately remodel in the last couple years.
This is Whitmore Lake High School. I live near this school so it wasn't hard to go by and take a couple photographs of the building. I chose to take these photos at this location because of its easy access but also because of its structure. The look of the building somewhat looks similar to Skyline, but its smaller. I wanted to convey the windows and the curved entrance. I didn't have any problems when taking these photos due to the fact that it was a Saturday and no one was there.
My family lives on a farm and this is our barn. I really liked how it has that 'classic' simple look of a barn. I wanted to convey the typical redness of the barn and the white painted windows. I also really liked how the clouds were nicely shaped and how it added to the beautiful image. I chose to do this location because its a large structure and its simple. I thought that the barn would make a great blue print drawing because of length and its design.
This is the church I go to. I really like how both in the edited photos and the blue print photo I was able to convey the bricks. In the colored photos, its much more recognizable to see the texture and the different colors. In the blue print I can see the brick shapes and the texture also. I didn't have many problems while taking these photos but I wished that the weather was slightly better. I believe that if the sky was bluer and that the sun was in the sky, it would add more color and allow the image to pop out more.
